That’s my summary of Burberry Prorsum S/S 2011. Oh, the clothes themselves will grow on me and I’ll start to like them by the time the collection hit the magazines. (But nothing will ever beat the aviator jacket of the current season.) But the show itself? I felt so bad for all the models. Hardly any of them could walk properly in the heels. And because it was live I was scared all the way through that one of them would fall. Which ruined it. Two of them stumbled and walked the runway barefoot. And the model who closed the show, fell. At the very end. She looked like she was going to fall all the way through. It was horrible. And there were no famous models! No Lily or Freja!! No one! Which was upsetting.
The clothes themselves (which I’ll post pictures of when they become available) were alright. Trench coats with bright lime green or blue belts. Leather jackets. Studded trenches. Horrible space-age trousers. Scary-high shoes.
But the show ruined it. And the music was horrible too.
Can’t wait until the proper runway shows in Milan and Paris- Isabel Marant! Dolce and Gabbana! Gucci! Prada! Yes!!
